Indoor Soccer Program

Wow, what a program, it was good to stretch and sweat a bit in the last indoor Soccer on Friday, Dec 2nd, 2011. 12 people showed up and really had fun. More people came but the program had to end as the Community Center was being prepared for the snowboarding event the next day. There were 4 newcomers came for the play and they likes this program and would like to continue to come.

Putra Sumanjuntak, our Sport Director saw this event is good place to find fellow Indonesian and Students who lives in Calgary.

Continuing on the great and fun times we had during the previous “INDOOR SPORTS” event, PERMIKA (Indonesian Students Union in Canada) Calgary is having indoor soccer event this FRIDAY – December 2, 2011 | 7pm to 9pm, at

PERMIKA Calgary adalah organisasi dari, oleh, dan untuk pemuda-pemudi Indonesia di Calgary dan sekitarnya. Memelihara dan mengembangkan hubungan baik antar sesama pemuda-
pemudi Indonesia menjadi dasar utama kegiatan-kegiatan PERMIKA Calgary.

Berdasarkan pengalaman-pengalaman sebelumnya, dipahami bahwa kegiatan olahraga
bersama adalah wahana paling sesuai untuk mengumpulkan pemuda-pemudi Indonesia. Ini
menjadi kesempatan baik tidak hanya berlatih bermain sepak bola, namun juga menyehatkan
jasmani pada umumnya, dan bersosialisasi.

Mempertimbangkan iklim dan cuaca Calgary yang cukup ekstrim di musim dingin, maka
kegiatan olahraga ini akan dilangsungkan di fasilitas indoor gym melalui mekanisme book a
gymnasium dari City of Calgary.

Kedepannya, PERMIKA Calgary terbuka dengan kemungkinan-kemungkinan untuk
mengembangkan Indoor Soccer lebih lanjut. Contoh termasuk menambah variasi jenis olahraga,

atau mengintenskan latihan sepak bola yang berorientasi untuk kompetisi / kejuaraan.

PERMIKA Calgary is an organization from, by, and for the Indonesian youth in Calgary and Area.
Nurturing and fostering the good relationship between the Indonesian youth becomes the main
basis for all PERMIKA Calgary activities.

Based on past experiences, it is realized that sporting activities serves as the most appropriate
means of gathering the Indonesian youth. This is a prime opportunity not only to practice our
soccer skills, but also maintaining physical health, and to socialize.

Considering Calgary’s extreme weather and climate during winter, this sporting event will
be held in an indoor gym through the book a gymnasium mechanism provided by the City of
Calgary.

Going forward, PERMIKA Calgary is open to opportunities to further develop / expand this
Indoor Sports program. Examples include adding the variety of sports, or intensify soccer
practices in a competition-oriented manner.
